Cordal Jig (The)
I learned “The Cordal Jig” from my good friend Sami Koenig, a wonderful fiddle player from Switzerland, during one of his visits to Ireland. Cordal is a village in North Kerry.

I learned “The Bog Carrot Reel” from a lovely CD by fiddle player Diarmuid O’Brien on which he is joined by a different box player on each track, and regular Doolin visitor Donie Nolan joins him on this one.
“Around The Fairy Fort” is a barndance composed by Vincent Broderick. I picked it up at a session in McCarthy’s of Coore during Willie Clancy Week 2014, from my friend Samuel König, a great fiddle player from Switzerland. It is usually followed by an other barndance from Vincent Broderick called “The New Broom”, which I also learned at that session.
