It is a unique opportunity to experience the very best of Irish traditional music in a cozy and welcoming setting where musicians can share their magic with a small, privileged audience.

Deirdre & Mairéad Hurley
Sisters Mairéad and Deirdre Hurley hail from Ballymote, Co. Sligo, and were immersed in traditional music from a young age. Mairéad is a concertina player and teacher who has performed widely across Ireland and internationally, and is a tutor at Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy. In 2016, Mairéad released a trio album with John Blake and Nathan Gourley entitled The Truckley Howl. Deirdre, a flute player and singer, has also performed extensively at home and abroad, including at the World Expo in Dubai in 2023. She appears on “The Thursday Sessions” album from The Cobblestone Pub, where both sisters played for many years. Mairéad and Deirdre perform together regularly, with recent appearances including Return to London Town festival and at Na Piobairí Uilleann’s Ace and Deuce of Piping concert. They have made numerous television appearances, and performed together on TG4’s Slí na mBeaglaoich. They are both currently based in the Connemara Gaeltacht, Mairéad in Indreabhán and Deirdre in An Cheathrú Rua. In 2021, they were invited by ITMA to contribute to the Drawing from the Well series, in which they shared their journey to learn more about the famed “Petticoat Loose” of Co. Waterford, and the music associated with her legendary name.
